Plagne Centre (1 970 m)

Inaugurated in 1961, Plagne Centre is the historic heart of La Plagne. Designed by architect Michel Bezançon, the resort reflects the concept of an integrated resort, where pedestrian areas are clearly separated from vehicular traffic. The architecture, designed with functionality in mind, provides immediate access to the slopes, offering an ideal ski-in/ski-out experience.

Plagne Centre boasts a wide range of shops, restaurants and services, as well as leisure facilities such as an ice rink, bowling alley and cinema, for lively evenings out after skiing.

From the Bois Melay chalet, you can reach Plagne Centre easily: by the free shuttle bus or on foot via a path linking Plagne 1800, which you can also ski back to the chalet.

From Plagne Centre, access to the Grande Rochette summit by gondola offers exceptional panoramic views of Mont Blanc, Beaufortain, Vanoise and the 3 Valleys.

Plagne 1800 (1 800 m)

A former mining village, La Plagne 1800 has preserved its old-world charm, with wood and stone chalets nestled in the heart of a coniferous forest. This natural setting offers a warm, peaceful atmosphere, particularly appreciated by families and groups of friends in search of tranquillity.

The village’s shops and restaurants are within walking distance of the Bois Melay chalet, one of the resort’s finest accommodations. Thanks to its ideal location, Plagne 1800 offers direct access to ski slopes and hiking trails, so you can make the most of the mountains in every season.

Aime 2000 (2 100 m)

Nicknamed the “Paquebot des Neiges”, Aime 2000 stands out for its emblematic architecture, inspired by the great transatlantic liners. Designed by Michel Bezançon and inaugurated in 1969, the building embodies the architectural audacity of the resorts of the Trente Glorieuses, with a design conceived for independent living at altitude and optimal ski-to-door access.

Listed as a 20th-century architectural heritage site by the French Ministry of Culture in 2008, Le Paquebot offers spectacular views of Mont Blanc and direct access to the slopes.

From Aime 2000, you can ski to Plagne Centre, Montalbert or back to the Bois Melay chalet with ease.

La Plagne Montchavin (1 250 m) et Les Coches (1 450 m)

Located in the commune of Bellentre, Montchavin and Les Coches combine traditional charm with modern comfort. A former farming hamlet, Montchavin features typical narrow streets, wooden chalets, a chapel and a working farm. Les Coches, a more recent village, offers a family atmosphere with its Savoyard residences.

Their central location in the Paradiski area makes them an essential stop-off point for exploring the varied slopes, whether towards Les Arcs, accessible by the Vanoise Express cable car, or towards La Plagne.

From your chalet at La Plagne 1800, you can easily access Montchavin or Les Coches via the Arpettes chairlift at La Plagne Bellecôte.

Don’t forget to book a table at Laurette’s Chalet du Plan Bois, a high-altitude restaurant with the “Table de Terroir” label, located 500 m from the arrival of the Lac Noir gondola.

Plagne Villages (2 050 m) et Plagne Soleil (2 050 m)

These twin resorts offer a peaceful atmosphere, surrounded by vast snow-covered panoramas. With ski-in/ski-out accommodation, they offer direct access to the slopes, perfect for families and those seeking peace and quiet.

Chalets and residences, designed with Savoyard architecture in mind, combine modern comfort with authentic charm, for a warm and relaxing stay.

Plagne Bellecôte (1 930 m)

Created in 1974, Plagne Bellecôte is the central hub of the La Plagne ski area. Its bold architecture, designed by Michel Bezançon, evokes a hydraulic dam and blends harmoniously into the mountain landscape.

The resort offers a wide range of après-ski activities, including a heated outdoor pool, ideal for relaxation.

From Plagne Bellecôte, you can take the gondola up to Belle Plagne and to the top of Roche de Mio, the starting point for exploring Glacier Live 3000.

To reach your chalet, take the Colosses chairlift or the free shuttle bus between Plagne Bellecôte and Plagne 1800.

La Roche (1 550 m)

Located beneath La Plagne 1800, La Roche is a former mining village that has retained its mountain authenticity while becoming a mecca for La Plagne thrills.

At the gateway to the ski area, this village offers unique access to France’s only bobsleigh run, a relic of the 1992 Olympic Games.

Adrenalin is the order of the day! For a fun-filled family experience, climb aboard the self-guided Bob Raft, capable of speeds of up to 80 km/h.

Speed enthusiasts will prefer the Speed Luge or Bob Racing, where you’ll be propelled at 120 km/h, supervised by professionals for total immersion in the world of Olympic bobsleighing.
