Ski access from the chalet
Chalet du Bois Melay enjoys a privileged position on the heights of La Plagne 1800, surrounded by fir and larch forests and neighboring chalets.
From the chalet, you can walk directly to the La Plagne Paradiski ski area via a short, flat path.
The blue Loup run is just 400 m from the chalet.
Free La Plagne shuttles run frequently in both winter and summer, with a shuttle stop only 50 m away. These buses connect you quickly to the main ski fronts in La Plagne 1800, Plagne Centre, and Plagne Bellecôte.

Free La Plagne shuttles run frequently in both winter and summer, with a stop only 50 m away. These buses connect you quickly to the main ski fronts in La Plagne 1800, Plagne Centre, and Plagne Bellecôte.
For the return, an easy off-piste path brings you within 200 m of the chalet. You can also return conveniently by shuttle.
Guests taking lessons with our partner ski school can even enjoy a private shuttle service to and from lessons.
From Chalet du Bois Melay, you are connected to the entire Paradiski area. From La Plagne 1800, you can easily ski and reach by lifts and slopes all the surrounding Plagne villages (Plagne Montalbert, Plagne Centre, Plagne Bellecôte, Belle Plagne, Plagne Village, Plagne Soleil, Plagne Montchavin).
Reach Plagne Villages and Plagne Soleil via the Mélèzes and Bergerie lifts.
Connect to Plagne Aime 2000 or Montalbert via the Plagne 1800 lift.
With a Paradiski pass, you can also access Peisey-Vallandry and Les Arcs.

Directions: from Lyon, follow Chambéry → Albertville → Aime, then take the road up to La Plagne (21 numbered switchbacks). The chalet is located in La Plagne 1800, just after turn number 1, directly opposite the Decathlon ski shop.

Ask to be dropped on rue de Constantine, just above the chalet.

Approx. 2h30 transfer to the chalet.
Parkings next to the chalet
A private parking space is available in front of the chalet, accessible from the main road you arrived on (Route de la Grande Rochette). To make entry easier, you can continue a little further and turn around at the roundabout.
An electric charging station is also at your disposal to recharge your vehicle during your stay.
If needed, a public car park is located just opposite the chalet, next to the Decathlon ski shop, and another is available at the entrance of rue de Constantine.
Shops & Services nearby
The chalet is located just steps away from the shops of La Plagne 1800.
A Decathlon ski rental shop is directly opposite Chalet du Bois Melay. Thanks to our partnership, the shop can deliver skis straight to the chalet and collect them at the end of your stay.
The SPAR supermarket (3 minutes away) is only about 100 m from the chalet. Fresh bread is available daily.
You will also find fresh bread at the shop “Les délices de la mère Boudu”, located 200 m from the chalet (5 minutes’ walk).
The Paradiski ski slopes are directly accessible on foot from the upper part of the chalet by following rue de Constantine for about 400 m. From there, you join the blue Loup-Garou slope leading down from Plagne Centre.
Ski schools and lift pass offices are ideally located at the bottom of the Mélèzes chairlift. The ESF (Ecole de Ski Français) in Plagne 1800 offers ski lessons and a Piou-Piou Club for the youngest skiers.
For après-ski fun, children can enjoy the sledging slope on the snow front.
The Les P’tits Bonnets daycare is located in Plagne Centre, quickly accessible from the chalet by the free ski shuttle.
The Tourist Office is situated directly opposite the SPAR supermarket.
Additional shops are available in the other La Plagne villages, the closest being Plagne Centre, located just above Plagne 1800.

Chalet du Bois Melay is a little haven of peace. Nestled among the fir trees, each room offers a breathtaking view that is simply dreamy! The design and cleanliness of the chalet are top-notch. The amenities are comprehensive: each room is equipped with an ensuite toilet/shower, and there is also a pool, sauna, and an incredibly cozy dining room. The icing on the cake is the warm welcome from the hosts. I can only recommend a stay at the chalet. And for skiing, a little warm-up is offered, and it's definitely worth it!
I have stayed several times in this beautiful chalet. Great location, just 5 minutes on foot from the slopes. Elise is attentive to all your questions. The chalet is very luxurious, and my children loved the pool and the cinema room 😉. I highly recommend it!

Stunning location, ideal in the summer (tested!) and undoubtedly also in winter! Every room is stylishly decorated with meticulous attention to detail and personalized touches.
